This week we have started learning about the different types of animals there are. We did some amazing sketching work to try and create different patterns that looked like animal patterns. We even looked at animals that didn’t have fur, like alligators, tortoises and snakes. Using our pencils we carefully changed how much pressure we applied to the paper as well as the direction of our marks, helping us to create different patterns and textures.
We also used our small world area and built some homes for different animals! It was great fun seeing what materials we could use to make it look like a home big enough for the animals we’ve been playing with.
